The light is relatively good. It produces a nice light, although it is expensive. The comparable light output is not as good as much cheaper fluorescent fixtures. It is very cool, though.

This light is bright enough for accent lighting but not for task lighting in a kitchen. Also if you need to hard wire it that will be extra.

I tried Halogen & Xenon lights and they were too hot.
Even if I had gone that way, they cost 75% of the LED unit which I expect to last a long time.

I purchased five units. Within a few months one of the lights began flickering and working intermittently. Four of the lights start where you set them (hi low off) and one of them always goes to low. Three of five worked properly.

I tried to purchase the adapter for a direct wire assembly and I had to go elsewhere to find one.

When they give you the dimensions of the units, plan to add a half-inch or better in length for the plug-in power cords.
